So lately I've been researching my family tree.. It's really interesting!

Turns out my great great grandfather (Kiril Korotkov) was an officer in the Russian Imperial Army under the Tsar Nicholas II, and leading up to the revolution, he had to flee Russia to protect his family so they tried to immigrate to America but were refused entry because Kiril had TB, so they came to Australia instead. Kiril was married to Annie Shipil & they had five children - Maria, Vera, Zahar & Anna were all born in Russia while Lillian was born in China during their immigration. They arrived in Brisbane in March 1910, just over a century ago.

I'm the great grandson of Zahar Kirilovich Korotcoff (the name's spelling changed when they came to Australia from Korotkov > Korotkoff > Korotcoff).

Anyway, I'm still researching! Back to it

Holidays next week! I'm totz psyched about getting some time off & being paid for it.

So, shall be going away for a week then spending some time in Brisvegas & hopefully..

I know I've said it like a million times before but hopefully I'll have a week to finish recording a few tracks, maybe even finish writing "Sparks"

Though we shall have to wait & see how things end up chugging along for the rest of this fine month.

So, one of the longest months of the year is already behind us! We've kicked the year off to a good start with the Phobia contest coming to an end.

Also January contained a milestone.. 20 years on this plane for I. I feel damned wrinkly already!

Well, for the southern hemisphere anyway
